About Me

I am an ER nurse, new to nursing, and new to the ER. I am terrified, exhilarated, and I LOVE my job. I have created this space to share and archive the lessons that I am learning, to blog about my day to day experiences, and to provoke discussions and dialogue with other ER nurses and healthcare professionals, and the general public on all things related to nursing, health and healthcare.

Update

Submitted by ernurse on Tue, 02/08/2011 - 00:13.

I haven't posted here in a very long time.  My life has gone through many changes in that time but I'm still alive and well and doing my thing in the ER :)

Due to circumstances beyond my control, after one year of ER nursing I had to take some time off. During that time I took some post-graduate nursing classes to keep myself busy and to keep my hands in the profession.  I then decided to relocate and I'm now living and working in one of the most beautiful places on earth.  I am back in the ER after 18 months of not practicing so it feels like being new to nursing and new to the ER all over again, but I love it and have no regrets.

I am almost one month into my job and now that I'm getting settled in again, it's time to delve back into this blog and into sharing what I'm learning.

Thank you to everyone who has emailed me and left comments, I do appreciate it.  I apologize for going AWOL, it really was beyond my control.  But I'm back :)
